Individual Attention. Clear Communication.

Our Approach

It starts with listening

A conversation.
A thoughtful review.
A clear next step.

Every person brings a different history, a different set of concerns, and different goals. Our approach begins with understanding yours.

We consider each inquiry individually. The assistance we can provide depends on the circumstances, the records available, and the scope of work we agree upon with you.

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
Martin Luther King Jr. · Letter from Birmingham Jail, 1963
  1. 01

    Tell us what is happening

Share a brief description of your situation, what you hope to accomplish, and any approaching deadlines. A family member can help start the conversation.

  2. 02

    Understand the information

We discuss the relevant background and identify the records needed to consider your inquiry. This helps us explain what assistance may be available and where additional information or counsel may be needed.

  3. 03

    Agree on the work

Before work begins, a written agreement sets out the assistance to be provided, the fees, and the expectations on both sides. You have an opportunity to understand the proposed work and ask questions.

  4. 04

Stay informed as we move forward

We believe communication is central to effective advocacy. We keep clients and, where authorized, their families informed about the work, information needed, and next steps.

Not sure where your situation fits?

You do not need to select a service before contacting us. Tell us what is happening, and we can discuss whether our assistance is appropriate.

We Are Here To Help

At McCracken Stoll & Associates we understand that incarceration affects the entire family. A loved one being away from the table at Christmas or a birthday can be devastating for everyone. That is why we work with families every day to bring their loved ones home.
